Stardate 21.08.2017

Hello everyone!

I hope you are all doing well! Summer break may be coming to an end, but enjoy the last golden days of summer. They are the best.

We went to eat dinner with one of the sister's investigators on Monday night. It was very fun to be with them. We had FHE with them afterwards and we played a way fun game. I'll do my best to explain it in words. So, each person has a small pad of papers equal to the number of players. Four players=four pieces of paper on each pad. The game starts by writing a story on the front piece of paper. The story can be a simple phrase, a couple of sentences, or a paragraph. As simple or complex as you want to make it. With the story written, pass your pad of paper to the left or the right. Everyone passes at the same time. The next person reads the story, takes the story paper and moves it to the very back of the pad, and then drawers a picture to match the story. Then everyone passes it again. The next person writes a story to match the picture. Then the next person reads that story and draws a picture to match the story. Each time taking the paper at the front and moving it to the back. Once you get your original pad of paper back you can see how your story changed and the pictures that were drawn. The results can be quite amusing! We related it to spreading rumors and telling gossip. Similar to the game telephone but with pictures and written words. Message: don't tell gossip or spread rumors!

We had a really good lesson with one of our investigators in his home. He expressed some concerns with the need to be baptized. He was raised Catholic and really wants to follow our Savior with all his heart. He likes the church a lot so he is kind of caught in between. What he really wants is for President Thomas S. Monson to accept him as a member of the church with some documents. Silly investigator 😊 But we got to figure out what some of his goals are. And why he is wanting to meet with us. He wants to become less carnal and more spiritual. How awesome is that!? So good!

The highlight of the week was probably when we went to Okayama for a mission-wide young men's camp out. We were only there for a few hours out of the total three days that the campout was for. But, we got to play games and talk with them. Then we got to sing "Called to Serve" in Japanese for the youth. There were probably a total of 26 elders there so I also got to see some good friends of mine. It was way fun and spiritual.

Our Branch President invited us to come over to his home to practice teaching a lesson. We decided to practice teaching the Restoration. We got some way good feedback and have some material to practice. I love our Branch President!

That was basically the week. Way hot! Loving the people! Can't wait for it to cool down though. Hope you all have an awesome week. Fight the good fight and never give up!

愛しています!
